Richard Pritchard is a proud Samoan storyteller with a passion for crafting worlds, much like The Rock Dwayne Johnson – though slightly smaller! Inspired to write since he was fifteen, Richard brought his dream to life by co-creating, writing and illustrating Wylah.

His love for visual storytelling has shaped an impressive career as a Visual Effects and Story Artist on iconic films like The Great Gatsby, Happy Feet, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Pacific Rim: Uprising. Richard spent four years as a visual story development artist for George Miller, Australia’s most awarded film director.​​
​
Sometimes Richard has to attend film premieres like Furiosa and talk to his fans like Chris Hemsworth... it's ok, he's used to signing an autograph or fifty.
